The Kody Piercing conical spike labret stud in 316L surgical steel with an 8 mm bar is one of them. A flat disc that disappears. A straight bar that passes through. A cone that points. Nothing more. The bar is machined from 316L surgical steel (ASTM F138), a high-precision alloy known for its corrosion resistance, mechanical strength and compatibility with healed body tissue. Its surface is hand mirror-polished: every millimetre of metal is made smooth and shiny, with no pores or rough spots. The result is a cool, pure, almost liquid silver tone that catches the light without scattering it. At 8 mm long, this bar is sized for placements with thin tissue: tragus, flat helix, tight conch, healed labret, medusa, earlobe of standard thickness. It offers a stable hold with no residual play once the piece is correctly fitted.

The flat lower disc, approximately 5 mm in diameter, is the invisible part of this piece. Designed to sit discreetly against the skin or mucosa, it spreads the holding pressure evenly over a large surface without creating a localised pressure point. Its inner face is polished so as not to catch on tissue. It does not unscrew and cannot be removed: it is one with the bar to guarantee complete mechanical integrity. It is precisely because it is not seen that it does everything.

The screw-on cone is the signature of this design. Its circular base rises to a tapered point in one continuous geometric movement, with no break and no stray angle. The mirror-polished finish of the cone is identical to that of the bar, creating perfect visual continuity from the base to the tip of the piece. Under direct light, the cone generates a rotating play of shadows and reflections that gives it a volume out of all proportion to its actual size. An 8 mm piece that visually occupies far more space. The 1.6 mm external thread allows you to change the top: smooth ball, crystal ball, flat disc, crown or another cone in different sizes, depending on your mood.
